The Storage Works, based in Wigan, Greater Manchester, offers drive-up outdoor container storage and vehicle storage within our secure 0.65-acre yard. Our steel storage containers are available in a range of sizes and provide convenient access for loading and unloading.
Our outdoor storage area can also accommodate:

Our drive-up outdoor container storage in Wigan is a practical solution for tradespeople, businesses, hobbyists and anyone needing flexible storage with easy vehicle access. Our steel containers are ideal for storing tools, equipment, business stock and a wide range of other Goods, with the convenience of being able to drive directly up to your storage space.
Our containers have features designed to help reduce condensation, including ventilation together with anti-condensation coatings or insulation, depending on the container. They are also fitted with protective lock boxes, helping to prevent tampering with the padlock.
While container storage is ideal for many customers, for household contents storage in Wigan we generally recommend our indoor storage units. We have a wide range of indoor unit sizes available at the same facility, so you can choose the type of storage that best suits your belongings.
Access is straightforward using our electronic access-control system and electric gates, with customer access available from 7am to 10pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, without needing to make an appointment. The outdoor storage area is well lit with PIR floodlights and covered by CCTV.
For additional peace of mind, we offer an optional Goods Protection Plan for eligible Goods stored in our External Containers. You can also arrange your own suitable insurance if you prefer. Vehicles are not covered by our Goods Protection Plan and must have their own suitable insurance. Full details of the available protection options are explained during sign-up.

If you are storing a vehicle with us, you can move it when required, you do not need to give us notice.
Prices below are per week and include VAT

— 4 week refundable deposit required.
— Your price is guaranteed for at least 1 year (no price increases during this time).
— From just £0.70 per £1,000 of declared value per week, our optional Goods Protection Plan provides protection against specified risks while your Goods are in storage with us. Full details and your other protection option are explained during sign-up. For External Containers, a suitable high-security padlock must be correctly fitted within the lock box; suitable padlocks are available from us. Vehicles are not covered and must have their own suitable insurance.
