If you’re looking for classic car storage, motorbike storage or vehicle storage in Wigan, The Storage Works offers flexible options within our secure site in Wigan, Greater Manchester. We’re also conveniently located for customers travelling from surrounding areas including Chorley, Preston, Skelmersdale and across Lancashire.
For car and classic car storage, we offer 20ft x 8ft (160 sq ft) steel shipping containers, providing your vehicle with its own enclosed storage space. For motorbike and motorcycle storage, we offer both 8ft x 7ft 2in and 10ft x 8ft containers, giving you a choice of sizes depending on your requirements. Alternatively, cars, motorbikes and other suitable vehicles can be stored within our outdoor vehicle storage area for a lower-cost option.
Our vehicle storage options can accommodate cars, classic and vintage cars, high-performance vehicles, road-legal motorbikes and motorcycles, trailers, vans, campervans and motorhomes. Whether you need short-term vehicle storage or somewhere to keep a classic car or motorbike for longer, we offer flexible storage options to suit a range of requirements.
Please note that we do not accept motocross/off-road motorcycles or non-road-legal quad bikes. If you’re unsure whether your vehicle is suitable for storage with us, please contact us before booking.
Our storage containers have features designed to help reduce condensation, including ventilation together with anti-condensation coatings or insulation, depending on the container. Containers are also fitted with protective lock boxes, helping to prevent tampering with the padlock.

Our Wigan site offers plenty of space for car, motorbike and vehicle storage, from motorcycles and classic cars through to campervans and motorhomes. With both enclosed container storage and outdoor vehicle storage available, you can choose the option that best suits your Vehicle and budget.
Access is straightforward using our electronic access-control system and electric gates, with customer access available from 7am to 10pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This means you can access or remove your Vehicle during our normal access hours without needing to make an appointment. The outdoor storage area is well lit with PIR floodlights and covered by CCTV.
Vehicles are not covered by our Goods Protection Plan and must have their own suitable insurance. We may ask you to provide evidence of cover during your storage period.

If you are storing a vehicle with us, you can move it when required, you do not need to give us notice.
Prices below are per week and include VAT

— Your price is guaranteed for at least 1 year (no price increases during this time).
— From just £0.70 per £1,000 of declared value per week, our optional Goods Protection Plan provides protection against specified risks while your Goods are in storage with us. Full details and your other protection option are explained during sign-up. For External Containers, a suitable high-security padlock must be correctly fitted within the lock box; suitable padlocks are available from us. Vehicles are not covered and must have their own suitable insurance.
